Deal Sourcing Academy

Learn to find off-market deals, and introduce the right ones.

The Deal Sourcing Academy teaches you how to find off-market acquisition opportunities, assess whether they're worth pursuing, and introduce suitable deals to us or our JV partners.

A paid programme. Ben reviews every application personally.

At a glance

  • Online training in deal sourcing
  • Introduce suitable deals to us or our JV partners
  • Sourcing fees agreed in writing, payable on completion
  • Starts with an application reviewed by Ben

Who it's for

  • People with a network or sector knowledge who want to originate acquisition opportunities
  • Professionals who already speak with business owners and want a structured way to spot and present deals
  • Future buyers who want to master deal sourcing first

Is it right for you?

Is this a way to earn passive income?

No. Sourcing takes steady, consistent work: building relationships, speaking with owners and assessing opportunities. There's no guaranteed income.

Will every deal I introduce be accepted?

No. Each opportunity is assessed on its merits, and many won't go ahead. We'll tell you why when we can.

How do sourcing fees work?

Fees are agreed in writing before an introduction is made and are payable on completion of a transaction. On selected deals, potential equity participation may be considered separately.

Do I need deal experience?

Not necessarily. A network or sector knowledge helps. Ben will talk through your background on the suitability call.

What you'll learn

Know what buyers want

Turn a buyer's criteria into a clear brief, so you look for the right businesses from day one.

Find off-market opportunities

Where unlisted opportunities come from, and how to build a steady flow of conversations with owners.

Approach owners well

How to open conversations when you're not the buyer, build trust and keep information confidential.

Assess before you introduce

A first look at the numbers, owner dependence and obvious risks, so you only put forward deals worth considering.

Present a deal clearly

Package an opportunity so a buyer can quickly decide whether to take it further.

Work within written agreements

How introductions, owner permissions, confidentiality and any sourcing fees are agreed in writing before any information is shared.

Introductions and fees

How introducing deals works

Once you're trained, you can introduce suitable opportunities to us or our JV partners.

  • Sourcing fees are agreed in writing before an introduction is made.
  • Fees are payable on completion of a transaction.
  • On selected deals, potential equity participation may be considered separately.

We can't promise that any opportunity will be accepted, that a deal will complete, or that you'll earn a fee. Whether an introduction goes ahead is decided deal by deal.
